The ultimate value host, Hostinger is known for its unmatched pricing and performance. Feature-rich plans, great deals, and fantastic stability are some of its hallmarks. Find out the rest in our detailed review below!
The first time I visited, I was struck by two things: the extremely low price for shared hosting and the informational value of the site. Certainly, it entices users to purchase hosting with some standard marketing tricks, but it also contains a lot of legal information, while the monthly fee is unrealistically low.
While preparing preliminary research for this Hostinger review, I noticed one more thing that it is a host with a strong technical pedigree. However, technically strong hosts are abundant on the pages of the hosting tribunal. More information was required.
So I bought a premium shared plan, installed a clean WordPress on it, and started monitoring its uptime and speed.
After months of testing, here I can tell you about Hostinger, all expressed in an unbiased, detailed review.

What is a hostinger?

Formed in Lithuania about 15 years ago, Hostinger is an international brand with a very strong presence in many markets. This is a company that does not bow down to EIG or GoDaddy. Instead, it attempts to build an empire of its own. Only that this empire looks amazingly good.
Eventually, Hostinger created and still runs the largest free website hosting provider. Now, 000webhost is not without its flaws – far from it – but the fact is that it was conceptualized and realized by the people behind Hostinger, and still charges nothing because of them.

The Essential – Hoster Speed, Uptime and Support

Some say that a hosting provider is only as good as its slowest server, others focus on uptime and customer care. I do not discriminate and test them all.
In encompassing manner!

1. Good uptime – 99.93%

Uptime is one of the key indicators of a quality web host and Hostinger does reasonably well.
After nearly three years of continuous testing and monitoring, Hostinger provides stability and reliability. This is an average of 99.93% uptime (with 99.96% for 2019 and 99,95% in 2020), which is within the promised industry standard of 99.9%.
Average uptime 2018 – 99.87%
Average uptime 2019 – 99.96%
Average uptime 2020 – 99.95%
Average Uptime 2021:
January – 100%
February – 99.96%
March – 100%

Hostinger supports 99.9% uptime but actually promises very limited compensation.

2. Brilliant speed

Very fast response time – 0.26s (5th)
Extremely fast loading time – 0.86s (second)
Stable under load – 0.92s (9th)
If you run a speed test on My Domain, the results may fluctuate slightly. Even from the same test platform, the two tests would normally display slightly different results. The My Hostinger site is hosted throughout the Atlantic, so I tested it from US locations. All plugins and server-side caching were disabled.
Consensus between users and professionals is a rare thing online. Nevertheless, most people agree in their Hostinger reviews that it is an instant host. The data I have compiled from four different benchmark testing tools confirms as much.
In fact, it is one of the fastest hosting providers I’ve tested so far.
Front-end speed is nothing short of spectacular. The Hostinger server takes about 0.26 seconds to respond with the first byte of data. Then, it only needs 0.86 seconds to render the page fully.
With such results, My Hostinger is the fastest loading site under WordPress installation monitoring, just editing the likes of Interserver and Dreamhost.
When it comes to backend speed, Hostinger also delivers.
It is far from the best performers in this category, but it is equally far from the worst. The average response time of 0.92 seconds for about 300 simultaneous requests is not bad at all.
Average Response Time 2018 – 0.19s
Average Response Time 2019 – 0.28s
Average Response Time 2020 – 0.25s
Average Response Time 2021:
January – 0.26s
February – 0.33s
March – 0.31s
Fully Loaded Pages 2018 – 0.86s
Fully Loaded Pages 2019 – 0.91s
Fully Loaded Pages 2020 – 0.85s
Fully Loaded Page 2021:
Jan -0.81s
February – 1.00s
March – 0.87s
Response Under Load 2018 – 1.13s
Response Under Load 2019 – 0.93s
Response Under Load 2020 – 0.83s
Response under load 2021:
January – 0.81s
February – 1.11s
March – 1.02s

Hostinger is a seriously fast website hosting provider.

3. Support can be better

If you go to, you might be surprised to see that the support team is called the “Customer Success Team”. Sounds grand, but my experience with influential marketing terms has been uneven.
As soon as I opened the support page, two alarms rang.
First of all, no telephone number is listed anywhere. Weirdly, Kaunas and Larnaca have company office addresses, so you could possibly send a letter. Both locations are listed with their respective postcodes.
The apparent lack of phone support is strange, but I wasn’t ready to discount Hostinger yet.
It may be sending my query to a chat agent who can produce an adequate reply. What I received was an email that contained a one-line answer to my one-line question.
In this regard, it feels like a chat.
Not only that.
Mana, I finally managed to reach the chat. It is only accessible on the Hostinger Help page; The page itself is not linked to the home page. I also tried from and the UK version of Host but could not find any direct link for support.
Oh, and it didn’t work on Firefox.
Anyhow. The chat button is located in the lower right corner, and I had a happy ending, though not a completely reassuring conversation with a support agent. He was nimble and sociable, but a little joking and investigation revealed that some of the advertised features were misleading. More on that in the cons section of my Hostinger review.
Walking through the Hostinger website looking for the elusive chat option, I decided to check out the Reddit web hosting threads for some additional insights.
My search for the best web hosting often leads me to Reddit where Hostinger also frequently visits. There the support has been rated quite well, but the apparent lack of some main channels of communication is appalling.
The support team seems competent, but the lack of phone support is a serious omission. The live chat option can be delivered in a more accessible way.

Hosting Pros

The Hostinger hosting solution hardly qualifies as an excellent package, but it is well-rounded and robust. A lot of things can be found for both novices and advanced users to like.

1. Extremely Cheap

I will elaborate on Hostinger’s fees a little later, but let me tell you that the company is just $ 0.99 away from being called a free website host. No kidding 99 cents. Not even a dollar.

2. Dedicated resources

Hostinger promises some CPU and RAM power for each of its three shared hosting plans, which is excellent news for those growing and expanding. Knowing what you’re paying for and all that jazz.
It is always difficult to tell how well such precise resource management is implemented, but it is always good to see every user attempting to dedicate some computational power.

3. SSD across the board

In terms of infrastructure, Hostiger keeps up with the latest industry standards. All its servers run on SSD. Solid-state drives are much faster than older HDDs, so this is a clear upgrade. So much so that Hostinger ranks high among the best SSD hosts.

4. Built-in Cash

All Hostinger plans have Nginx caching enabled. Without getting deep into the technicalities, suffice it to say that Nginx is a powerful and fast web server; It was designed to outperform the Apache and it does so methodically. When server-side Nginx caching is properly configured (which Hostinger support has assured me), even content-heavy dynamic sites should perform flawlessly.

5. Regular backup

While only business plans guarantee daily backups, each shared hosting solution backs up your data weekly. Many people should do this to the bare minimum premium web host – I completely agree with this notion – but the truth is that regular backups are not universally provided. I’m looking at you, Godaddy.

6. 30 Day Money Back Guarantee

Money-back guarantee is standard practice among the top web hosting companies. Hostinger is not excellent at it, but most providers go with what it offers. 30 days is not so much to properly test a web hosting service, but infinitely better than nothing. I’m looking at you, Godaddy.

7. Unlimited Cronjob

You heard it right, unlimited Cronjob. The smallest plan (which is already in the free web hosting category with one step) supports only one Cronjob at a time, but the other two shared solutions can handle as many as they want. Cronjobs are awesome. You can never have too many of them.

8. Git across the board

While we are at it, let us understand it fully. All Hostinger plans come with a Git version control repository. If you don’t know what that is, you probably won’t be using it anyway, but if you do – great, right?

9. Optimized for WordPress

WordPress caching plugins and servers designed to accommodate this popular content management system make Hostinger an excellent home for this.
The 1-click installer and automatic updates make the Hostinger WordPress package an attractive proposition.

10. Proprietary Control Panel

Truth be told, I needed a lot of time to decide whether the in-house built control panel falls under the category of professionals or not.
While I admire such initiatives, they are rarely better than existing solutions. I instinctively wondered why Hostinger does not use cPanel.
However, the developers of the company have done a great job. Of course, the control panel looks very much like cPanel, but that’s not a bad thing; This saves learning time.
It is sleek and functional, with adequate controls and no The barrier allows access, making it ideal for beginners and one of the best cPanel
There are options

11. Website Creator

Hostinger offers a good amount of 1-click installers, but also has a good site-building tool. Hostinger Website Builder is included in all plans and has a functional drag-and-drop interface that can help you create a web page quickly and efficiently.
While I’m not a particularly big fan of such website builders, I must admit that this is one of the better iterations I’ve seen.

12. Did you say discount?

Now, I mentioned that introductory prices are ridiculously low, but you can also get some serious Hostinger discounts with relative ease. It seems a little real typing that since the initial prices are so low, to start with, it is hardly understandable to give them further discounts.
Nevertheless, this is a very real possibility.

13. Users like it

Hostinger is a host of widespread popularity that generates universal love. Countless users praise the hostinger’s performance, crazy value for money, decent support and overall engagement.
Negative reviews, some of which are, mostly complain about support.
There are some discussions and reviews on Reddit, where Hostinger’s reputation is vigorously defended and tarnished.
Overall, user feedback is extremely positive and as far as our tests are concerned.

14. Response to Feedback

Less than three months after my Hostinger review was published the company contacted to thank me for pointing out some issues.
The first negative point in the cons section of my review was about the misleading phrases the company used when describing its plans.
However, Hostinger took proactive steps to resolve the issue, and now the parameters of its plans are more adequately described. The boundaries have been clarified with Tarak, making everything significantly more transparent and less confusing even for the most distracted of users.
I must admit that on a personal level it felt great because making web hosting companies fair and more transparent is one of the main reasons behind the existence of hosting tribunals.
Naturally, seeing a host who actually cares enough to take a few simple steps towards honest marketing is a big positive sign.
Yash, Hostinger.

Hosting cons

While Hostinger has a very solid hosting solution, its offer is far from flawless.

1. Limited for advanced users

Hostinger has a well-shared hosting package, but advanced users may find it lacking in some areas. Yes, there is Git, cronjobs, and Curl, but many of the gifts available in cPanel are simply absent. Ruby on Rails, Python and others are nowhere to be found.

2. Difficult stay

Migrating a site to Hostinger can be problematic. While support is ready to help in any way necessary – advice or direct involvement in the process – the fact that the host runs a proprietary hosting panel makes it difficult to move existing sites.
It is possible, but it is highly likely to be a serious problem.

Hostinger Plans and Pricing at a Glance

Hostinger has three shared hosting plans. The fees are surprisingly low. I was told that these temporary offers but it took me the first few months of 2019 to prepare this Hostinger review and they did not change. Hostinger increased its fees slightly but the cost of the smallest plan is still less than a dollar.

Do I recommend Hostinger?

Yes, I recommend Hostinger for several reasons
If you are looking for a cheap hosting solution, this is probably the best option.
Speed and performance are also impressive.
Access to the support team can be customized, but the agent
